The Vision
Our customer wanted the new Land Cruiser 250 to keep its refined on-road manners while gaining real trail capability for Maui’s mixed terrain—lava rock, red dirt, rain-slick backroads, and beach access ruts. We spec’d a premium suspension with on-the-fly adjustability, paired with a strong, lighter wheel and a proven all-terrain tire in a slightly upsized fitment.

CDCV adjusters let you fine-tune compression damping for pavement, potholes, or Polipoli—no tools needed.
Billet components for strength and precise geometry control.
Adjustable lift range (approx. 1.25–3”) to level stance, clear tires, and dial rake based on load (camp gear, surf racks, etc.).
ICON linkages & tuned coilovers engineered specifically for the LC250 platform to reduce brake dive and body roll without beating you up.

Black Rhino 17x8.5 wheels
Built for off-road abuse with a clean, purposeful look that suits the LC’s squared lines.
Nitto Ridge Grappler 295/70R17
Hybrid A/T-M/T pattern for quiet highway cruising and strong sidewall traction on loose surfaces.
Excellent wet-weather stability—big plus for sudden Maui showers.
Why This Combo Works on Maui
Daily comfort, trail confidence: ICON’s CDCV lets you soften for the Kanaio road and firm up for Honoapiʻilani Highway—right at the shock.
Real clearance, right proportions: The adjustable 1.25–3" lift provides room for the 295s while preserving the Land Cruiser’s balanced look and steering feel.
Durability you can trust: Billet hardware, strong wheel design, and Nitto’s reinforced sidewalls handle the island’s mix of pavement seams, washboards, and rocky beach entries.
Road Test Impressions
On-road: Noticeably flatter cornering and far less nose dive under braking. Steering feels planted with minimal tramlining despite the wider tire.
Off-road: With CDCV softened, the truck floats over chatter and corrugations. Traction is predictable in wet red dirt and on lava cinders, and the 295s fill ruts with confidence.
Noise: Ridge Grapplers remain impressively quiet—just a low hum at highway speeds.
Fitment Notes (LC250)
The 295/70R17 sizing is a popular upgrade for stance and traction. Depending on wheel offset and ride height setting, minor clearance tweaks may be required (e.g., liner massage or mud-flap adjustment).
We finalize ride height, caster, and toe at alignment to keep straight-line stability and even tire wear.
TPMS is retained and calibrated; we advise regular rotations (every ~5K miles) to maximize tread life.
Every LC250 build is a little different—cargo weight, roof gear, bumpers, and intended trails. We tune CDCV and alignment to your setup.
